Congratulations on your acceptance to MCLA! We would like to officially welcome you and are delighted you will be joining our campus community. 

Thank you for visiting your Kickoff to College Canvas page. There are many steps to complete before you arrive on campus - but we don't want the paperwork to be overwhelming! This page is your "one-stop shop" to help you complete necessary items prior to your campus arrival in the fall.

*Before getting started, locate your acceptance letter. On that letter, you will find your "A number" (MCLA Student ID). Contact your admission counselor or call 413-662-5410 for help*

Ready to activate your MCLA Account? Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Self Service Banner (Links to an external site.) website.
  2. Enter your "A number" (Pro tip: use a capital "A").
  3. Enter your pin - your initial PIN is your birthday in MMDDYY format (6 digits) - after you login, you will be asked to set a new pin of your choice.
  4. Click the 'Claim Your MyMCLA Account' link located on the main menu.
  5. Follow the account claim procedure, setting a password at the end (should be a combination of numbers and letters).
  6. Confirm activation is complete by logging into http://sso.mcla.edu

*You must complete step #1 prior to paying your enrollment deposit*

The enrollment deposit if $200 for residential students and $100 for commuter students. 

Using your MCLA A# and Password, pay your enrollment deposit HERE!

Allow for 24 hours after paying your deposit to explore the rest of this Canvas site. Log into your account (http://sso.mcla.edu) and click "Canvas" in the top banner. Click "Kickoff to College Spring 2021" and your page will be unlocked!

**Canvas is a learning management system. MCLA's students, faculty, and staff use Canvas in and out of the classroom as a digital learning tool. Not only will this site help you navigate your transition to college and your first year experience, it will help you become familiar with Canvas - a tool you will use throughout your MCLA career. 

Review the information using the Modules tab on the left hand side to ensure a smooth transition to the MCLA. Keep an eye out for more information as we get closer to the start of the Spring 2021 semester.
